When I first started thinking about our invention I imagined it as a tank attached to your back by belts similar to a scuba diving tank, but Jordan had a more superhero-like idea of a body suit which would itself absorb water, create oxygen for you to breathe, and expel hydrogen.

Then we together came up with the idea that the hydrogen being expelled from whatever the device may be, it should be used to help the person move around underwater. Or perhaps there could also be a jet or propeller attached to allow easy, fast movement?

If electricity will separate hydrogen and oxygen, then why not build a tank the could use a rubber insulation container to produce electricty.  The rubber will act as a good  insulator due to it's electrical resistance.  Also it can pump in water and push out the excess as a kinetic energy, like an under water jet pack.
